Job Description 
The Copthorne Hotel London Gatwick is seeking an experienced Maintenance Assistant/Handyman - Full Time to join our Maintenance team.
They will be responsible to maintain, repair services and equipment within the Hotel and grounds ensuring facilities are kept in operation and a safe working condition for our guests.
Schedule- 8 hour shift
- Weekend availability
- Maintain and repair services and equipment within the Hotel and grounds
- Follow daily task list as issued by the Chief Engineer or Senior Shift Engineer
- Carry out maintenance request orders e.g. plumbing tasks, change light bulbs, minor electrical tasks
- Carry out PPM in all hotel areas, recognise faults and rectify them promptly and efficiently
- Provide a friendly and professional service to all guests when in public areas or bedrooms
- Take responsibility for the care and cleanliness of the Hotel engineering areas allocated (e.g., workshop, plant rooms)
- Ensure compliance with relevant and current legislation at all times while at work e.g. Health & Safety Policy, Fire Regulations
- Plumbing and electrical skills advantageous
- Keen eye for detail and able to work alone
- Knowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace
- A team player who can manage own workload
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends
