Mainframe Engineer (Assembler/IMS DB (DL/I)/COBOL)Refactoring & Integration

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Engineer to refactor and existing Assembeler module (Module X) which currently issuses one or more IMS DL/1 calls into a new Cobol (Module Y) that will take over these DL/I interactions. Additionally, Assembler Module X must be updated so that, instead of performing its current actions, it invokes Cobol Module Y.

This Role combines deep technical hands on work (Assembler, Cobol, IMS DB/DL/I) with disciplined change, testing, and documentation to ensure a clean, auditable transition wit no business disruption
