Machine Assistant

£13.00 - £13.46p/h inc shift allowance, M-F, 3 shift rotation, Rotherham S65, premium overtime over 40 hours paid at x1.5, free parking, modern manufacturing facility including modern canteen, temporary with potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Due to the continuous growth of a well-established global manufacturing company in the Rotherham area, we have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and reliable Machine Assistant, to join their team. Reporting into the Shift Manager, day to day responsibilities could include:

• Assist machine operators with machine changeovers.
• Pack, label, and wrap finished products for dispatch.
• Carry out visual quality checks on finished products.
• Read and follow job order cards and work instructions.
• Load materials and remove finished products from machines.
• Keep the work area clean, safe, and organised.
• Report machine faults, quality issues, and safety concerns.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Support the team in meeting production targets.
• Assist with basic machine cleaning and housekeeping.

This role would suit anyone that has worked as a Machine Assistant, Machine Operator or machinist in a fast-paced manufacturing company.

You will need to have;

• Ability to understand and follow operating procedures and production specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Previous machine assisting or manufacturing experience ideally.

• £13.00 - £13.46p/h inc shift allowance (same rate for all 3 shifts)
• Monday - Friday AM/ PM 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm and Sunday - Thursday 10pm - 6am rotating.
• Rotherham S65
• Premium overtime available at x1.5 over 40 hours.
• Starting temporary but potential to lead to permanent for the right candidate.
• Free parking.
