Job title - M&E Site Manager (Electrical) - Commercial and Industrial
Salary - £55,000 to £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a business car or car allowance.
Hours of work - Working away Monday to Friday
Location - Chesterfield (must be living within an hour's commute of the office)
About This OpportunityLooking for your next big project as an M&E Site Manager? This is a great chance to take the lead on commercial and industrial installations, working on a mix of refurbishment, fit-out and major building conversion schemes. You'll be the driving force on site, coordinating trades, managing programme and quality, and seeing projects through from installation to final handover. Key Responsibilities- Managing all day-to-day electrical installation activities on site
- Coordinating electrical subcontractors and direct labour
- Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with programme requirements
- Monitoring quality of installation and ensuring compliance with project specifications
- Carrying out regular site inspections and quality checks
- Ensuring all works are undertaken in line with current Health & Safety legislation and company procedures
- Coordinating with the main contractor, consultants, client representatives and other trades
- Attending site progress meetings and providing updates on programme and resource requirements
- Reviewing drawings and technical documentation, identifying and resolving installation issues
- Managing material deliveries and ensuring plant and equipment are available when required
- Overseeing testing, commissioning and final handover documentation
- Maintaining accurate site records, reports and progress updates
- Previous experience as Site Manager on commercial construction projects
- Strong background in refurbishment, fit-out or major building conversion projects
- Current SMSTS qualification
- ECS or CSCS card
- First Aid at Work certificate
- Sound knowledge of current electrical regulations and Health & Safety legislation
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong organisational and planning abilities
- Full UK driving licence
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation
- SSSTS or additional Health & Safety qualifications
- Experience managing projects through testing, commissioning and handover
- Knowledge of BIM and digital project management platforms
