M&A Counsel (FTC)

Overview

An international services business is looking for an immediately available M&A lawyer to join its legal team for one month, with the possibility of extension. This position can be largely remote, but you must be based in England, with access to the London office if your presence is required. Subsequent to completion of ongoing M&A deals, the assignment may be extended for a period to cover business-as-usual commercial contracts work.

Responsibilities

• Project-manage the concluding stages of multiple M&A transactions, working closely with external counsel, General Counsel and other internal stakeholders.
• Ensure deadlines are met and internal arrangements for completion are made.

Qualifications

• Senior (7+ PQE as a guide) E&W qualified lawyer with private practice training and significant subsequent private practice experience, approx. 5+ years.
• Proven M&A experience; any further in-house and/or commercial experience is valued.
• Must be prepared to work largely remotely, with ability to come to the Central London office at the beginning and end of the assignment.
