Supervisory Assistant
Russells Hall Primary School are looking to appoint a Supervisory Assistant to be part of our lunchtime team. The successful candidate will be able to create a safe and stimulating outdoor environment that provides social, active and creative play experience (in all weathers) for all but may also be expected to work inside supporting lunchtime in the hall and classrooms.
We are an OPAL (outdoor Play and Learning) Platinum award winning school committed to providing an outstanding lunchtime experience for all our children. We encourage the use of a range of resources to allow our pupils to be creative, imaginative and adventurous in their play.
Experience of working in a primary school setting is preferable although not essential. Applicants should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the ways in which children play successfully.
Responsibilities- Create a safe and stimulating outdoor environment for social, active and creative play (in all weathers).
- Support lunchtime supervision in the hall and classrooms as required.
- Engage with children to promote imaginative and adventurous play using a range of resources.
- Experience of working in a primary school setting is preferable but not essential.
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of how children play successfully.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children (references in the original text).
- Understanding of and/or willingness to comply with Data Protection, confidentiality and employer policies.
The position will be for 10 hours per week.
Monday - Friday, 2 hours per day
Term time only (38 weeks)
