Monarch Education are seeking enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisors to support primary schools across Swadlincote from September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking for part time work during school hours while making a positive difference to children's school experience. We are working with a number of primary schools seeking reliable and engaging individuals who can help create a safe, positive and enjoyable environment during lunchtime.
About the RoleYou will support pupils throughout the lunchtime period, supervising activities both indoors and outdoors while encouraging positive behaviour and social interaction.
Schools are looking for proactive individuals who can confidently engage with children, take initiative and contribute to a supportive and inclusive atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise pupils during lunch and break times
- Encourage positive behaviour and respectful interactions
- Support children with play and social activities
- Help ensure pupils remain safe and engaged
- Assist with transitions between lunchtime and lessons
- Report concerns and incidents in line with school procedures
- Work closely with teaching and support staff
- Experience working with children or in a childcare setting is desirable but not essential
- A proactive and positive attitude
- Ability to build strong relationships with children
- Calm, approachable and patient manner
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable and punctual approach to work
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
