We're looking for a Families Together Coordinator to strengthen partnership working across Huddersfield and Rural communities-bringing local voices into the room, connecting services, and helping turn insight into practical action.What you'll do
- Coordinate quarterly Families Together partnership meetings-bringing partners together, setting agendas, capturing actions and keeping momentum.
- Build strong relationships with Navigators, community hubs, school-led hubs, early years providers and health partners so pathways stay clear and joined-up.
- Support and strengthen the Community Champion offer, including regular catch-ups, feedback loops and champion-led initiatives.
- Plan and deliver themed community events (minimum four per year) that help families access advice in welcoming, non-clinical spaces.
- Deliver outreach and relationship-based engagement, including targeted support and home visits where appropriate, to reduce barriers and build trust.
- Capture insight, evidence outputs/outcomes and contribute learning and unmet need into wider decision-making structures to influence longer-term change.
- Supervise volunteers (and line manage sessional staff where required), ensuring role clarity, wellbeing support, boundaries and safe practice.
- Work confidently within safeguarding, confidentiality and information governance requirements.
- A relationship-builder who is caring, inclusive, responsive and collaborative-and committed to communities
- Experience coordinating community-based work with children, young people and families (early help/early years/youth/community development).
- Confidence planning and coordinating activity across partners, venues and locations, with strong organisation and follow-through.
- Great communication and facilitation skills-able to create welcoming spaces where people contribute and feel heard.
- Comfortable capturing insight and impact (numbers, themes and stories) and keeping clear records on IT systems.
- Understanding of safeguarding and safe practice; able to maintain boundaries and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Able to travel across Huddersfield and rural parts of Kirklees
- Level 3 (or above) in Early Years or Health & Social Care or equivalent relevant experience.
- Desirable: community language skills; trauma-informed practice; experience supporting volunteers/community champions; experience coordinating health/early years outreach in community settings.
- Funded Training and Qualifications: Ongoing training and development opportunities, with encouragement to progress to higher qualifications (Level 5 and above).
