About Recover BoltonRecover Bolton supports individuals in recovery to rebuild their lives, improve wellbeing, and reconnect with opportunities in their community. A key part of recovery is helping people regain confidence and access employment, training, or volunteering opportunities.
The RoleWe are looking for a compassionate and motivated Volunteer Employment & Training Support Worker to help individuals who have been inactive in employment take positive steps towards work, training, or education. This role involves providing practical guidance, encouragement, and support to help people build confidence and develop the skills needed to move towards employment.
What You Will Be Doing- Develop and update their CV
- Complete job and training applications
- Search for suitable employment or training opportunities
- Prepare for job interviews
- Build confidence and employability skills
- Understand how to use online job platforms
- Identify potential training or volunteering pathways
You may provide support through one-to-one sessions or small group workshops.
Who We Are Looking For- Have good communication and listening skills
- Are supportive, patient, and encouraging
- Have basic knowledge of CV writing, job applications, and interview preparation
- Are comfortable using online job search platforms
- Have a passion for helping people progress into work or training
- Previous experience in recruitment, employment support, HR, training, or coaching would be helpful but is not essential.
