About the role

As the Team Leader in the Logistics area, you will play a crucial role in running a key part of the Distribution Centres operation. You will be responsible for overseeing daily logistics operations, ensuring efficient transportation, storage and distribution of goods. This role involves leading a team, optimising processes and maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of approximately 6 people
• Working with and alongside direct reports in the team and fellow Team Leaders
• Implement and continuously improve processes & procedures
• Plan and monitor inbound and outbound shipments
• Own HR processes for the team
• Resolve operational issues and elevate where necessary
• Collaborate with suppliers, transport providers and internal teams
• Produce end of shift daily reports
• Develop and foster good working relationships with peers across the DC to ensure that the department contributes to the overall success of the DC and the business
• Own the Health and Safety culture and processes within the team
• Ensure house keeping standards are maintained at a high level

Personal Specification

• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a busy warehousing environment
• Good leadership skills - specifically in people management
• Knowledge of the Muc-Off operations and logistics processes
• Ability to work accurately with an attention to detail
• A good level of numeracy, computer literacy and IT skills
• Excellent communicator (verbal and written)
• Flexible approach to work, with the ability to prioritise
• The ability to manage and influence teams of people, encouraging them to be the best they can be
• Ability to manage high work loads under pressure
• Be a team player
