Job Description

A leading domestic appliance distributor and installation specialist is looking to recruit a Logistics Planner to join their team at their Castle Donington head office. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in scheduling, coordination or logistics who enjoys working in a fast-paced, operational environment.

Role Responsibilities

As a Logistics Planner, you will:

  • Assist with planning and managing daily and weekly installation schedules
  • Allocate work to fitting teams based on availability, location and job requirements
  • Act as a key point of contact between internal teams and field operatives
  • Communicate schedules, updates and changes clearly to all stakeholders
  • Monitor schedules in real time, responding to delays, cancellations and urgent requests
  • Ensure all job information is accurate and complete prior to scheduling
  • Maintain accurate records, schedules and related documentation
  • Support overall logistics operations and team efficiency

Requirements

To be successful in this Logistics Planner role, you should have:

  • Experience in logistics, scheduling, coordination or a similar role
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel in particular)
