This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of raw materials and finished goods while driving performance, cost optimisation, and continuous improvement across the logistics function across our two sites at Skelmersdale and Ashton.If you thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoy leading teams, improving processes, and delivering results - we'd love to hear from you.About the RoleAs Logistics Manager, you will take ownership of the end-to-end site logistics operation, ensuring products are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.You will play a critical role in shaping and delivering the site's supply chain strategy, working cross-functionally with Planning, Sales, and external partners to optimise stock levels, service levels, and cost efficiency.This role offers the opportunity to lead a team, embed TPM principles, and further develop a high-performing logistics organisation aligned to Essity's iCare culture.What You Will DoChampion a safety first culture, ensuring compliance, proactive risk identification, and continuous improvement in all warehouse activitiesEnsure and optimise the flow, storage, and distribution of raw materials and finished goods across the siteLead and develop the logistics team, setting clear priorities and objectives aligned to site strategyDrive a strong iCare culture , ensuring a safe, healthy, and sustainable working environmentCoordinate stock optimisation for both raw materials and finished goods in collaboration with PlanningDeliver logistics performance through KPI management (service level, stock, cost) and continuous improvement initiativesIdentify and implement customer-focused logistics solutions in collaboration with Sales and Regional Business LogisticsOwn and deliver the site supply chain strategyManage relationships and negotiate with external service providers, warehouses, and transport partnersDrive cost efficiency, productivity improvements, and operational excellence across logistics processesImplement and embed TPM principles within the logistics functionDevelop and implement new systems, routines, and processes to support business needsAct as a role model for leadership, performance management, coaching, and development within your teamWho You AreWe're looking for someone who combines strong operational expertise with inspiring leadership and a passion for continuous improvement.Skills & Experience:Experience working within logistics, supply chain, or a related environmentExperience in driving transformation initiatives, including process redesign, system implementation, or organizational change.Leadership experience with the ability to coach, engage and develop teamsStrong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience working in a matrix organisationAnalytical mindset with a focus on performance and data-driven decision makingProven ability to drive continuous improvement and deliver operational resultsExperience working with KPIs such as service level, stock, and costsKey Competencies:Safety awareness and commitment to I CareLeadership and people developmentDecision making and problem solvingEffective communication and stakeholder engagementFinancial awareness and cost controlOrganisation, prioritisation, and time managementLearning agility and continuous improvement mindsetWhat We Can Offer YouAt Essity, we believe every career is as unique as the individual.
