Witham, Essex £28,000 - £32,000 Full Time, Office Based FMCG

Are you someone who keeps things moving, loves getting the detail right, and genuinely enjoys being the person customers can rely on? We're working with a well-established manufacturing business to find a Logistics Administrator who brings both precision and personality to everything they do.

This is a varied, office-based role at the heart of a busy operation - ideal for someone who is just as comfortable having a helpful conversation with a customer as they are coordinating a shipment.

The Role

You'll be the key link between customers, hauliers, and internal teams - making sure orders move seamlessly from placement through to final delivery. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a portfolio of UK customer orders end-to-end, from receipt through to confirmed delivery
  • Being a warm, proactive point of contact for customers - providing updates, answering queries, and resolving issues with confidence and care
  • Coordinating import and export shipments in compliance with HMRC Customs & Excise regulations, including the movement of excise goods
  • Liaising with the manufacturing planning team to align orders with production schedules
  • Processing orders accurately through internal systems and maintaining data integrity throughout
  • Supporting the sales team with administrative tasks and identifying opportunities to enhance the customer experience
  • Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and sustainable working practices
What We're Looking For

You don't need to come from the FMCG industry, but you do need to be someone who takes real pride in their work and genuinely enjoys working with people. We're looking for:

  • At least 3 years' experience in a logistics, order management, or customer service role
  • A warm, professional communication style - confident on the phone and comfortable building lasting relationships
  • Some exposure to import/export processes; knowledge of HMRC excise regulations is a plus, or a genuine interest in developing this
  • Strong IT skills and experience with order processing or data entry systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities without losing sight of the bigger picture
  • A collaborative, positive attitude - someone who makes the team better
