Job Description
Locum Run Leader

Hours: Various hours per week

Salary: £14.10 - £15.17 per hour + annual leave payment

Location: Travel across the geographical area as required (South & Vale or Oxford City or Cherwell & West)

Positions available: 2

Responsibilities
  • Lead small group running sessions or provide one-to-one support
  • Help participants build confidence and improve wellbeing
  • Support individuals to set and achieve personal activity goals
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment
Essential knowledge and skills
  • Understanding of mental health issues and the needs of those experiencing them
  • Knowledge of safeguarding children and adults
  • Awareness of confidentiality and GDPR principles
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Basic IT skills and good organisational ability
Essential experience
  • Experience supporting individuals or groups with wellbeing or mental health needs
  • Ability to support people in setting and achieving personal goals
  • Experience working in a team and communicating effectively
  • Experience identifying and managing risk (with support where appropriate)
Desirable (but not essential)
  • Experience in co-production or community-based services
  • Experience with data collection and outcome tracking
  • Experience networking or working with partner organisations
  • Experience supporting people with multiple or complex needs
