Practice Nurse - Northumberland (Part time)

Dream Medical are working with a GP Surgery in Northumberland and are looking for a practice nurse to join their team on a 15 hour per week basis. This is a busy, friendly 2 GP practice with over 3400 patients and you will be supported by an efficient administration team and a very experienced healthcare assistant.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver general practice nursing services to the practice population.
• Perform basic duties including cervical smear testing, adult and child vaccinations (including travel vaccinations), general patient injections (both IM and sub cut), phlebotomy.
• Knowledge of and management of patients with long term conditions.
• Provide pill checks, dietary advice, smoking advice, etc.
• Familiar with safeguarding requirements up to at least level 2.

Working Hours & Salary

Ideally up to 15 hours per week, with either an early morning or late evening surgery to allow accessibility for working patients. Working hours and clinical sessions are negotiable and will be discussed at interview. This is a band 6 role; salary commensurate with experience. NHS Pension is offered. No work on weekends or bank holidays.

• Commitment to practice policies and procedures.
• Current UK professional registration.
• Disclosure and Barring Service Check will be carried out prior to employment.
