Locum Dentist

The Dental Emporium is seeking a locum dentist to join our dental practice on a Monday and Thursday during the months of July and August 2026.
UDA rate starts at £14 per UDA with a target of 30 UDAs per day however rate and target are negotiable.
The successful candidate will provide high-quality NHS dental care, ensuring patient comfort and satisfaction. Applicants must be registered with the General Dental Council (GDC) and possess relevant clinical experience.
Main duties of the jobDuties
- Deliver comprehensive dental examinations and assessments to patients of all ages
- Perform a wide range of dental treatments including restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, and preventive care
- Interpret medical imaging such as X-rays to diagnose dental conditions accuratelyApply anatomical knowledge to ensure precise treatment planning and execution
- Maintain detailed patient records in accordance with practice protocols and GDPR regulations
- Provide advice on oral health maintenance and post-treatment care
- Adhere strictly to health and safety standards, including infection control procedures
- Collaborate effectively with dental team members to ensure seamless patient care
- Proven experience as a dentist with a strong clinical background
- Ability to interpret medical imaging accurately for diagnosis and treatment planning
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and treatment documentation
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining procedures clearly to patients
- Flexibility to adapt to different clinical environments and patient needs
- GDC registration and current indemnity is essential
- GDC registered and possess an active England Performer Number
- Registration with the DBS checking service, or willing to arrange an up-to-date DBS check
