Barts Health NHS Trust Barts Cancer Centre Locum Consultant Medical Oncologist - Breast Cancers at St Bartholomew's Hospital. We are seeking to appoint a Locum Consultant Medical Oncologist to join our existing Breast Cancer team based at St Bartholomew's Hospital in the Barts Cancer Centre. The successful candidate will join a well-established medical oncology team and play a key role in developing cancer services across the Trust. The posts offer an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and welcoming consultant team, and to develop new models of care/services that support the people in north-east London and beyond.

This post is advertised as a 10 PA fixed-term position for 12 months; an alternative timetable would need to be requested prior to appointment for consideration by the Clinical Director. You require full registration with the General Medical Council with the licence to practice.

Person Specification Qualifications- MB BS, or equivalent
- Broad based knowledge of and understanding of Medical Oncology including systemic therapy and the principles of Palliative care.
- Specialist knowledge in the management of breast malignancies
- Higher Specialist Training in Medical Oncology
- Experience in teaching / training undergraduates and postgraduates
- Experience of clinical audit
- Formal management training
- Experience of research
- Publications in indexed journals
- PhD/ MD Thesis
- Good presentational and verbal skills
- Ability to motivate and develop medical trainees
- Self-motivated
- Ability to work in teams
- Ability to work under pressure
