Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW The Localisation QA Project Manager plans, implements, and refines testing strategies according to the Localisation QA Process. They actively manage the testing team, serve as the main contact for Localisation testing of assigned titles, and communicate effectively across stakeholders to ensure productive workflows. The LQA Project Manager ensures that titles meet company platform requirements and continuously drives quality improvements. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage the Linguistic QA process for assigned titles, including multiple concurrent projects.
  • Support the implementation of LATAM language across titles, providing linguistic guidance specific to LATAM territories.
  • Assist management with financial assets such as POs, quotes, and tracking monthly costs and project amendments.
  • Create and update test plans, test cases, and checklists; coordinate test execution to ensure adequate test coverage.
  • Manage bug and text databases, ensuring defect quality and accurate documentation of stats and coverage.
  • Identify and resolve critical risks and issues, escalating to the Head of LQA as needed.
  • Monitor test team output and produce reports on project status, progress, risks, and bugs for stakeholders.
  • Manage localisation compliance checks to ensure titles are free from issues.
  • Assist with Voice Over/Audio tasks, including casting and file checks prior to implementation.
  • Support ad-hoc localisation tasks as required.
  • Manage goal setting and performance reviews for team members, providing feedback.
  • Complete post-mortem reports for released projects, identifying challenges and proposing improvements.
  • Train new and current team members and external teams to enhance workflows and skills.
  • Work closely with Studios to understand development plans and needs for effective testing.
  • Support testing and deployment of localisation tools, including AI prompt writing.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Strong knowledge of LATAM language adaptation and territories.
  • Experience with localisation tools (e.g., memoQ, TestRail, JIRA) and familiarity with AI-driven localisation solutions.
  • Understanding of localisation QA methodologies, standards, and platform requirements.
  • Excellent project management skills: organization, delegation, prioritization.
  • Experience in tracking budgets, schedules, and data accurately.
  • Proven leadership skills: motivating, inspiring, and managing teams.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, with ability to summarize key facts.
  • Knowledge of first-party standards.
  • Passion for SEGA's IPs and commitment to quality.
  • Adaptability and desire for continuous process and personal improvement.
