We are looking for an experienced Local Account Manager to join a busy freight forwarding team in Shannon.

The ideal candidate will have strong freight forwarding experience and a proven ability to manage customer accounts, build relationships and coordinate logistics solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a portfolio of local customer accounts
• Build strong, long-term client relationships
• Coordinate with internal operations teams to ensure smooth shipments
• Handle customer queries and resolve issues efficiently
• Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts
• Prepare quotes and support commercial activity
• Monitor service levels and ensure customer satisfaction

Requirements

• Previous experience in freight forwarding is essential
• Experience in an account management or customer-facing logistics role
• Strong knowledge of international freight operations
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Commercially aware with strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities
• Highly organised and able to manage multiple accounts
