Litigation Paralegal - Housing Litigation
North Manchester
Salary: £28,000
Full-time, Permanent
A well-established and growing legal practice in North Manchester is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join its busy Housing Litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with at least 12 months' file handling experience to further develop their career within a supportive and fast-paced environment.
You will work closely with experienced solicitors on a varied caseload, gaining hands on exposure to a wide range of housing litigation matters.
Key Responsibilities- Assisting with and managing your own caseload of housing litigation matters under supervision
- Handling possession proceedings (including Section 8 and Section 21 claims)
- Supporting on landlord and tenant disputes, including rent arrears and breach of tenancy
- Drafting legal documents including witness statements, pleadings, and correspondence
- Preparing court bundles and liaising with courts, clients, and third parties
- Conducting legal research and assisting with case strategy
- Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring compliance with internal procedures
- Minimum 12 months' experience in a litigation role, ideally with some file handling exposure
- Previous experience in housing litigation or landlord & tenant matters is highly desirable
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A proactive and commercially aware approach
