Paralegal - Dispute Resolution (Commercial Litigation)

Location: Cardiff

Job Description

We are looking for a Paralegal to join our Dispute Resolution department. The department is ranked by Chambers and Legal 500 as one of the premier litigation departments in Wales and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Support the Commercial Litigation and Professional Negligence teams on a varied caseload of general commercial litigation files.
• Deal with telephone enquiries from clients.
• Draft letters before action.
• Assist with complex litigation, including preparation of lists of disclosure.
• Update clients on the progress of their claims.
• Prepare trial bundles.
• Attend court instructing counsel meetings and interlocutory hearings.
• Research points of law.

Qualifications and Skills

• Law degree or equivalent experience.
• High levels of motivation and organisation.
• Good IT literacy (use of specialist software).
• Enjoyment of teamwork.
