The Office of Adv. Mr. Harneet Singh Oberoi is a reputable litigation practice based in Mohali, Punjab. The office primarily handles matters before the Punjab & Haryana High Court, as well as various District Courts and Tribunals in the Tricity area. The practice covers a wide spectrum of legal areas, including Civil, Criminal, and Writ Jurisdiction.

Position Overview

The office is offering an Internship Opportunity for law students who are eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced litigation environment. This role is designed to provide interns with a deep dive into the procedural and substantive aspects of law through research, drafting, and active court observation.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Legal Research: Conducting exhaustive research on case laws and statutes using legal databases like SCC Online and Manupatra.

  • Drafting: Assisting in the preparation of initial drafts for legal notices, petitions, affidavits, and written statements.

  • Court Attendance: Accompanying the legal team to the Punjab & Haryana High Court and District Courts to observe proceedings and assist in case management.

  • Case Summarization: Preparing brief notes and summaries of voluminous case files for senior counsel's reference.

Eligibility
  • Education: Law students currently in their 3rd, 4th, or 5th year (5-year course) or 2nd and 3rd year (3-year course).

  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, proficiency in legal research, and a good command over English and Punjabi/Hindi (preferred for local coordination).

  • Attributes: Punctuality, a professional work ethic, and a genuine interest in litigation and trial court practice.
