Job Description

  • Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in litigation matters.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including motions, briefs, and pleadings.
  • Conduct legal research to support case strategies and arguments.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and depositions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and manage case files.
  • Maintain strong communication with clients to ensure their needs and goals are met.
  • Ensure compliance with legal standards and ethical guidelines in all work.
  • Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations relevant to litigation.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Litigation Associate should have:

  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice in Tennessee (or willing to sit for/waive into the Tennessee bar)
  • 3-6 years of litigation experience (commercial and complex litigation preferred)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  • A detail-oriented approach with excellent organizational skills.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
