This Literacy SEN Tutor role is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring educational psychologist, teacher, or SEND professional looking to gain meaningful, hands on experience within a specialist ARP setting. An inclusive secondary school in Barnet is seeking a dedicated Literacy SEN Tutor to join their Additional Resource Provision from September 2026.

What You ll Be Doing as a Literacy SEN Tutor

• Deliver small group literacy sessions as a Literacy SEN Tutor within an ARP setting.
• Support students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and additional learning needs.
• Focus on reading, writing, comprehension, and functional communication skills.
• Adapt learning materials to suit a range of neurodivergent profiles.
• Work closely with specialist SEN staff to deliver targeted interventions.

What We re Looking for in a Literacy SEN Tutor

• Degree in English, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
• Strong A Level results in English or Psychology (A or A).
• Strong academic background with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A genuine interest in autism, neurodiversity, and inclusive education.
• Calm, patient and emotionally intelligent approach.
• Aspiring educational psychologist, teacher or SEN practitioner.
• Experience with young people is beneficial but not essential.
