Linux Cloud DevOps Engineer

Our goal is to strengthen the brand in Spain. We are looking for an expert to work as Linux Cloud DevOps Engineer!

As a Linux Cloud DevOps Engineer, primary responsibility is to integrate cloud technologies with Linux operating systems. stay updated with the latest advancements in cloud computing to design, install, develop, configure, and maintain Linux-based cloud services that align with Achmea's business objectives. Working within an Agile environment, eIaborate closely with cross-functional teams as either a DevOps engineer or Site Reliability Engineer (SRE).

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a Senior Engineer with a minimum of 12+ years of experience in Linux and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development, particularly with Ansible. The ideal candidate should be capable of leading a team and mentoring junior engineers, while also being hands-on with implementation.

Leadership and Mentorship

• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
• Coaching: Utilize your extensive experience to coach team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and collaboration on projects.

Linux Support

• Linux Administration: Manage and maintain Linux servers to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
• Server Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve server-related issues to minimize downtime.
• Azure Cloud: Deploy, manage, and scale applications using Microsoft Azure services.
• Password Management: Enforce and manage secure password policies and practices.
• LVM (Logical Volume Manager): Configure and manage logical volumes for efficient storage utilization.
• Ansible (AAP) good grip

Ansible Administration

• Core Fundamentals: Strong understanding of Ansible architecture and components.
• Role & Playbook Development: Create and manage Ansible roles, collections, and playbooks for automation.
• Infrastructure Automation: Apply Ansible to automate administrative and infrastructure tasks.
• Operational Efficiency: Use Ansible to streamline and standardize system administration processes.

Additional Responsibilities

• Security Compliance: Ensure all systems and processes comply with security standards and best practices.
• Performance Monitoring: Implement monitoring solutions to proactively identify and address performance issues.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, processes, and procedures.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Proficiency in Linux distributions (e.g., RHEL, SLES) and configuration management tools like Ansible.

- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, and containerization technologies such as Kubernetes/OpenShift.

- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and CI/CD frameworks (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

Certifications and Education:

- Azure Associate certification or equivalent knowledge level.

- Certifications in Linux (RHEL, SLES) and Ansible are preferred.

- Additional certifications in cloud (e.g., AZ400, AZ900) and RedHat (e.g., EX294) are advantageous.

Additional Skills:

- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python for automation and integration tasks.

- Understanding of basic network troubleshooting and security principles.

- Experience with integrating third-party APIs and services to enhance application functionality.

- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in evolving technologies and methodologies.
