The job itself

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and reliable Lifeguard to join the team at East Riding Leisure South Holderness on a part-time basis. This role involves working an average of 5 hours every Saturday over a 3-week rota.

This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a busy leisure environment, are passionate about customer service, and take pride in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all facility users.

A RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)is essential for this role.

As a Lifeguard, you will work across different areas of the facility and play an important role in delivering a safe, welcoming, and high-quality customer experience for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Your main duties will include:

• Supervising the swimming pools to ensure the safety of all customers at all times.

• Maintaining high standards of safety and vigilance while on poolside.

• Setting up and dismantling sports and activity equipment as required.

• Carrying out reactive cleaning tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.

• Supporting the wider team in ensuring the facility operates smoothly and efficiently.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold a valid RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ).

• Have excellent customer service skills and enjoy engaging with people.

• Be attentive, responsible, and safety-focused.

• Be friendly, approachable, and polite when interacting with customers and colleagues.

• Be able to work effectively as part of a team.
