Lifeguard - Casual - Chard Leisure Centre

Overview

Freedom Leisure is a leading charitable leisure trust committed to improving lives through leisure. We operate over 130 centres across England and Wales, offering swimming, gyms and cultural facilities. We look for a Lifeguard who can provide a safe, welcoming and clean environment for all customers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and well being of customers in the pool area.
• Maintain a clean and orderly environment, including regular cleaning and equipment checks.
• Monitor and manage crowd flow, provide assistance and respond to incidents.
• Deliver excellent customer service with a friendly, positive attitude.
• Implement and follow procedural guidelines for hygiene and safety.

Qualifications & Skills

• Swim competently; proficient swim level or ability to progress with trainer support.
• First Aid at Work (NPLQ) or equivalent qualification.
• Enhanced DBS check.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Team orientated approach, ability to work across organisational boundaries.
• Flexibility to work casual shifts as and when needed.
• Passion and energy for the leisure industry.
• Understanding of how to relate to customers of all ages and abilities.
