PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £44,000 - £55,000 + London Weighting (£5,441) + Bonus (15%) depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLEThis role is a key driver of BBC Studios' commercial success, responsible for identifying and securing strategic licensing partnerships for hardline products that unlock the full potential of iconic brands such as Bluey, The 1% Club, The Weakest Link and many more. By negotiating impactful deals and expanding brand presence across global markets, it transforms creative IP into commercial growth, playing a central role in revenue generation and international brand recognition.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT- Sales & Commercial Growth: Identify and pursue licensing opportunities across regions to meet annual sales and profit targets, aligning with brand strategy and guidelines.
- Contract Negotiation & Market Expansion: Negotiate UK, Ireland, and multi territory deals to expand BBC Studios' brand footprint while adhering to policy and strategic objectives.
- Partner & Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with category partners, licensees, retailers, and internal teams, overseeing distribution, forecasting, and reporting.
- Strategic Planning & Brand Positioning: Collaborate on brand strategies with partners and internal stakeholders to optimise market presence and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Insight & Cross Team Collaboration: Stay informed on market trends, support strategic planning, manage budgets, and act as a brand champion to maximise commercial impact across teams.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Strong experience managing licensing programmes, ideally within the entertainment space.
- Experience in building commercial activity on high revenue categories and high profile brand collaborations.
- Experience of working on complex commercial projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of how to commercialise brands across multiple platforms.
- Knowledge of hardline product licensing.
- Some international travel may be required.
DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
- Knowledge of pre school product licensing is highly desirable.
- Excellent client and agency contacts.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment & matrix structure.
