The RoleWorcestershire Libraries are recruiting a Library Customer Advisor to work primarily in Kidderminster on a 21.5 hour per week schedule, with occasional travel to Bewdley, Stourport and Tenbury Wells Libraries.
The role is diverse, exciting and offers a variety of customer interactions. Typical duties include providing digital one to one support, leading events and activities such as song or storytelling sessions for children, and online activity groups for adults. The role is fast paced and customer focused, with a continual learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver excellent customer service and support digital and face to face inquiries.
- Plan and run engaging library events and activities for all age groups.
- Travel to partner libraries as required to support services.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on customer interactions.
- Enthusiastic, energetic and flexible with a strong desire to find answers to customer questions.
- Background in retail, community work, education, early years or library services is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast paced, customer focused environment.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including Monday, Thursday 9 5, Friday 9 1 and every other Saturday 10 3.
