Job Description
Library Assistant - St Columba's College

Location: St Albans

Job type: Part time, term time only + 5 Inset days + Open Morning (September)

Hours: 24 hours per week - Monday, Thursday, Friday 11 am to 5.30 pm; Wednesday 8 am to 2.30 pm (30 minute unpaid lunch break)

Start Date: April 2026

Salary: Inclusive of holiday pay, dependent upon qualifications and experience

Responsibilities
  • Support the day to day operation of the Senior School library, ensuring a quality learning environment for students.
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and visitors.
  • Use digital library systems.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Confident, caring, and organised with a passion for inspiring a love of reading in young people.
  • Previous library experience advantageous but not essential.
  • Willingness to play a full part in the College's extra curricular life and sympathise with its Catholic ethos.
