Role: Lettings Negotiator

Salary: £24,000 - £25,000 Per Annum

Location: Sheffield

Hours: 09:00 - 17:30 (Some Requirement for Out of Hours duties)

Working Pattern: Monday - Friday

The role:

Our client is an independent letting agent. They are looking for an enthusiastic Lettings Negotiator to join their small team based at our office located in Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a career in the fast-paced property industry.

The role of Lettings Negotiator can be a demanding but rewarding role. Working in a lettings team, you will be expected to process high volumes of tenancies a year and in return can expect a competitive salary dependent on experience.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Drawing up tenancy agreements
  • Signing tenants up and arranging payments
  • Liaising with existing and new tenants
  • Liaising with existing and new landlords
  • Acting in a timely manner for all lease renewals, vacations etc.
  • Answering the telephone, sending and replying to emails
  • Dealing with general enquires
  • Booking viewings with potential tenants and updating marketing materials and websites
  • Chasing feedback on viewings from potential tenants
  • Competent with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet
  • Well presented, articulate with excellent communication skills
  • Hard working "can do" attitude.
  • You may also be required to cover out of office appointments such as viewings for prospective tenants and routine property inspections

The successful candidate:

  • Experience in the property industry would be highly advantageous, but not essential
  • Ideally at least one year's experience in a similar customer service role
  • Able to work to tight deadlines and in a busy environment
  • Confident drawing up tenancy agreements and other legal documents and seeing them through to completion
  • Full training and support will be provided and you will be required to undertake the ARLA Qualification if you have not already
