Job Description

Leisure Attendant 1 - Haverfordwest Cluster of Satellite Facilities

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and customer focused individual to join our team on a permanent basis, working 25 hours per week across our busy and vibrant satellite facilities. These include Pembrokeshire Sports Village, Saint David's Sports Hall and Ysgol Caer Elen.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a varied working environment and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service. You will play a key part in ensuring our facilities are welcoming, clean and safe, and fully prepared for a wide range of community activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing facilities for use, ensuring they are opened and ready on time for customers.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety and presentation at all times.
  • Ensuring all bookings start and finish on time, with the correct equipment in place and set up to a high standard.
  • Checking that equipment is safe, fit for purpose and well maintained, and reporting any defects or maintenance issues promptly to the Duty Officer.
  • Providing a friendly, helpful and professional service to all users of the facilities.

Working hours:

Hours are worked predominantly during evenings and weekends, reflecting the busiest periods of activity across our sites. Shifts will vary by location and day, but you can expect:

  • Evening work during the week, with the earliest start time from 15:30 and the latest finish time up to 22:00.
  • Weekend work, with shifts typically between 08:00 and 18:30 on Saturdays, and 08:30 to 20:30 on Sundays.

This varied and rewarding role within a lively leisure environment offers the chance to work with a wide range of customers and activities across multiple sites. Therefore a driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
