Job Description
Are you an experienced Legal Secretary looking for your next long-term role in a respected Berkshire law firm? Our client in Crowthorne is seeking a highly organised, proactive, and detail-driven Legal Secretary to join their expanding team.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to support fee earners, take ownership of key administrative duties, and play an important role within a busy, supportive legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing full secretarial support to fee earners, including audio and copy typing.
- Preparing and formatting legal correspondence and documentation.
- Managing diaries, appointments, and meeting schedules.
- Handling client calls and emails with professionalism.
- Maintaining accurate client files and case management records.
- Supporting post-completion tasks such as SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications (depending on department).
- General administrative duties including scanning, filing, managing post, and organising meeting rooms.
What We're Looking For
- At least 2 years' experience as a Legal Secretary (any area of law considered, property experience beneficial).
- Fast and accurate typing skills, ideally with experience using digital dictation systems.
- Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail.
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
- A friendly, professional attitude and strong client-care skills.
- Competence with Microsoft Office and case management systems.
