Job Description

We are excited to be recruiting a Legal Secretary to join a friendly and reputable law firm based in Christchurch. The successful candidate will be working within the Dispute Resolution team, who deal with a wide variety of commercial and civil disputes. Legal Secretarial experience in any field will be considered.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Organising and maintaining diaries and booking appointments.
  • Dealing with correspondence and writing letters on behalf of the Fee Earners.
  • Dealing with emails, faxes and post.
  • Producing invoices and reporting billed figures.
  • Ensuring client files are accurate up to date.

About You:

  • Able to pick up IT systems quickly.
  • Digital/ Audio dictation experience
  • Fast typing skills.
  • Enjoys supporting other members of the team.
  • Ability to produce accurate work in a busy environment.
  • Approachable with excellent customer service skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Flexible and adaptable.
  • Organised and able to ensure clients are updated regularly.
  • Able to work effectively in a team, as well as independently.
