Job Description
Our client is a specialist business legal practice. They are engaged by clients ranging from small owner managed businesses to multi-national blue-chip organisations. They are proud to be practical, and guide clients to achieve what they want; they don't tell them what they cannot do.
The Role:
The role of Paralegal will entail playing a critical role in supporting the legal team by performing tasks that require a deeper understanding of legal procedures, research, and documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Legal document preparation and management.
- Conducting legal research on case law, statutes, regulations, and legal articles.
- Gathering information from legal databases and other sources to support the legal team in case preparation.
- Assisting in communication with clients, including scheduling meetings or interviews.
- Gathering information from clients or witnesses through interviews or questionnaires.
- Case management.
- Supporting the day-to-day operations of the legal office, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and organising meetings.
- Ensuring that all legal practices and documentation adhere to relevant laws and regulations.
- Maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in all tasks.
- Helping with the discovery process by organising and reviewing documents and preparing them for review.
Skills and Requirements:
- Must have a qualifying law degree
- Demonstrable understanding of the law books
- Hardworking
- Able to build rapport with ease
