Legal Office Assistant

A well-established and highly respected London law firm is seeking a Legal Office Assistant to join its busy operations team. This opportunity would suit a law graduate or an individual with previous reception or administrative experience who is looking to gain valuable exposure within a professional legal environment.

The Legal Office Assistant will work closely with the reception, IT and administration teams to support the smooth day-to-day running of the office. This is a varied and hands-on role where the Legal Office Assistant will assist with a range of administrative, organisational and client-facing duties while ensuring a high level of professionalism is maintained across the firm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing general office support including printing, photocopying, scanning and document preparation
  • Assisting with the preparation of court bundles and document packs
  • Supporting the scanning and distribution of incoming post to the relevant partners and fee-earners
  • Helping the reception team prepare meeting rooms and welcome clients
  • Organising couriers, local deliveries and trips to the post office
  • Ensuring copiers are stocked with paper and office supplies are maintained
  • Maintaining tidy and professional client-facing areas, including reception and meeting rooms
  • Assisting with incoming calls and directing them to the appropriate individuals
  • Supporting the wider operations team with ad-hoc administrative duties
Skills & Experience
  • Law graduate or candidate with previous office, reception or administrative experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisation and time management
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Professional and confident manner when interacting with clients and colleagues
  • Reliable, proactive and a strong team player
  • IT literate, with the ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel and quickly learn new systems
