The Office of Adv. Arvind Bhati is a litigation-focused practice based at the District & Sessions Court, Gautam Buddha Nagar (Surajpur Court). The office handles a variety of matters, primarily focusing on Criminal Law, Civil Litigation, and Land Revenue cases. It provides a foundational learning environment for students looking to understand trial court procedures and grassroots-level legal practice.

Position Overview

The office is offering an Internship Opportunity for law students who want to gain "boots-on-the-ground" experience. Interns will have the opportunity to move beyond theory and see how cases are built, filed, and argued at the District Court level.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Court Proceedings: Accompanying the advocate to the Surajpur District Court daily to observe trials, cross-examinations, and arguments.

  • Legal Research: Researching relevant sections of the BNS/CrPC, BSA/Evidence Act, and local land laws for ongoing matters.

  • Drafting: Assisting in drafting bail applications, complaints, affidavits, and civil petitions in both English and Hindi.

  • Procedural Work: Understanding the process of filing documents at the court registry and managing case diaries.

Eligibility

  • Education: Law students currently in any year of their 3-year or 5-year LL.B. program.

  • Skills: Basic understanding of criminal and civil laws, and proficiency in Hindi (as much of the trial court work is conducted in the vernacular).

  • Attributes: Punctuality, a strong work ethic, and a keen interest in trial court advocacy.
