Legal Counsel

The ideal candidate will partner closely with executive leadership to provide legal guidance that supports operations, mitigates risk, and ensures compliance across territories. You'll lead on drafting contracts, advising on regulations, and shaping internal governance, all while fostering a culture of legal and ethical integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic legal advice to management across business areas
• Lead compliance, governance, and risk management efforts
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and employment contracts
• Support M&A activity and intellectual property protection
• Monitor regulatory developments and ensure legal compliance
• Liaise with external counsel, authorities, and internal stakeholders
• Promote a strong culture of compliance and ethical conduct

Skills and Experience:

• Law degree and license to practice in The Netherlands
• Business degree (a plus)
• 5+ years in a legal advisory or in-house counsel role
• Background in corporate, labor, or administrative law
• Experience in multinational or retail sectors is an advantage
• Strong legal drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
• High integrity, discretion, and ability to work cross-functionally
• Fluency in English and Dutch is a must
• Some local travel will be required (limited)
• Flexible to meet business and retail demands
