THE ROLEAs part of our European Legal team, you will play a critical role in supporting Temenos' fast-growing SaaS and software business. You will draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of contracts, including SaaS agreements, software licenses, and professional services engagements related to our suite of products serving the global financial services industry. You will advise internal stakeholders, particularly Sales and Services teams, on issues arising from RFPs, implementation projects, and client requests - with a focus on data security, regulatory requirements, and commercial risk. Beyond client-facing work, you will also support other corporate functions such as HR, Marketing, IT, and Facilities. You will report directly to the General Counsel - Europe, based in our corporate headquarters in Geneva.
OPPORTUNITIESYou will:
- Draft, review, and negotiate technology contracts, including SaaS, software licensing, and professional services agreements.
- Partner with Sales and Services teams to provide legal guidance during RFPs, deal structuring, and contract negotiations.
- Advise on regulatory and compliance matters, including data protection (GDPR, DPA 2018), DORA, and EBA outsourcing guidelines.
- Support corporate functions (HR, Marketing, IT, Facilities) with day-to-day legal matters.
- Work cross-functionally to balance commercial objectives with legal and regulatory risk management.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of legal processes and contract templates.
You should have:
- Master's degree in Law (LLB).
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a lawyer in a technology company (e.g., SaaS/software provider) or in a law firm focused on technology transactions.
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to oversee revenue-generating technology deals from initiation to closure.
- Exposure to UK and EU Data Protection regulations (GDPR, DPA 2018), with an interest in further developing expertise in emerging financial services regulations such as DORA.
- Native-level English; additional languages (e.g., Spanish) are a plus.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to balance legal risk with commercial outcomes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to collaborate across multicultural and multinational teams.

- Maternity leave: Transition back with 3 days per week in the first month and 4 days per week in the second month
