Legal Counsel

We are currently recruiting for an excellent in-house opportunity that would suit an experienced insurance lawyer to join this global business on a permanent basis.

Working closely with a fast-growing business unit, you will be embedded into the commercial team to drive forward efficiencies and help to facilitate growth for the team.

You will be in the unique position of dual reporting to the business head of this team, with a dotted line into the UK Head of Legal.

This team is a fast-growing transactional business area covering largely Credit Risk Insurance. The contracts are diverse and can range from short term trade finance and sale of goods to complex financing arrangements with lenders. Any specific experience in this space would be well received.

Your role as Legal Counsel would be to:

• Provide effective legal advice to manage legal risk across the business
• Ensure that all aspects of legal risk across the business are identified and controlled in the implementation of new projects, systems and procedures
• Provide education, training and support to the business on relevant legal issues and developments
• Provide legal advice and support to the business, ensuring that such advice is timely and of a high standard
