Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, you will form a crucial role in providing comprehensive and effective legal support across Roche Diagnostics UK & Ireland. You will work across a variety of areas to provide essential legal services and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on improving health worldwide, based at our office in Burgess Hill, West Sussex.
Key Responsibilities
Provide practical and commercially focused legal advice on a range of commercial matters, including contract law, marketing, data, digital, privacy, social media, employment, competition, public and private procurement, and medical device regulation.
Manage and resolve commercial disputes.
Draft, review, negotiate and finalise a wide range of contracts and other legal documents. Solid commercial contracts experience is essential
Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Triage workflow, set priorities, and engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders in a complex cross-functional environment.
Conducting legal research and analysis, staying abreast with legal developments.
Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver tailored legal solutions and strategies.
Provide support to the Senior Legal Counsel and other legal team members across their areas of responsibility gaining diverse experience.
Who you are
You are a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive registered in England and Wales with an excellent working knowledge of commercial law and proven ability to advise and negotiate on a wide range of commercial issues.
You are looking for your next step in your career following a successful post qualification experience gained either "in-house" or in a reputable law firm.
You are a technically excellent lawyer with a solid training foundation at a reputable organisation or law firm with a focus on doing business with ethics and integrity which will guide how you show up every day.
You are an effective communicator with excellent collaboration skills, capable of interacting meaningfully with and across internal and external stakeholders and systems and explaining complex legal issues in an easy to understand manner.
You are enthusiastic about assisting the Senior Legal Counsel and other Legal Counsels in the team across their areas of responsibility which in turn will provide a diverse experience as well as working autonomously.
You are a motivated individual who thrives on feedback and acts on it to improve performance.
