Legal Cashier Bradford Full-Time Finance / Legal Accounts We are seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join a busy and collaborative finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in legal accounts who is looking to play a key role in maintaining financial compliance and supporting a high-performing legal practice. About the Role As a Legal Cashier, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and compliant processing of financial transactions in line with SRA Accounts Rules. You will support the wider finance function and work closely with colleagues across the business to deliver efficient and reliable financial operations. Key Responsibilities
- Processing financial transactions across office and client accounts
- Managing payments via BACS, CHAPS, cheques, and card payments
- Posting firm-wide billing and handling purchase invoices (including disbursements)
- Performing bank reconciliations for both office and client accounts
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Supporting fee earners with matter management (residual balances, unbilled time, disbursements)
- Assisting with credit control and client interest calculations
- Supporting year-end accounts and client money audits
- Contributing to general accounts administration and team support
- At least 2 years' experience in a finance or accounts role, ideally within a law firm
- Strong understanding of legal accounting processes and compliance
- Experience using legal accounts software (e.g. Partner for Windows)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- The confidence to uphold policies and procedures when required
- The ability to manage workloads effectively and meet deadlines
- A team player with a collaborative and supportive approach
- Someone adaptable, organised, and able to prioritise effectively
- A positive, professional communicator with strong interpersonal skills
