A leading UK law firm is seeking a Legal Trust Administrator to join its highly regarded Private Client, Tax and Trusts team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced trust professional to work on a varied caseload involving trust administration, estate administration, trust taxation, probate, wills, estate planning, and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs).
Based in either Hull or York, you'll become part of a collaborative and supportive team recognised for delivering exceptional private client services.
About the RoleAs a Legal Trust Administrator, you will provide specialist support across a broad range of private client matters, ensuring trusts and estates are administered accurately and in compliance with HMRC and legal requirements.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing Trust, Estate and Income Tax Returns.
- Managing registrations and ongoing compliance through the Trust Registration Service (TRS).
- Preparing trust accounts and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Completing R185 and IHT100 forms.
- Supporting the administration of trusts and estates from inception through to completion.
- Assisting with matters relating to wills, probate, estate planning, and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs).
- Liaising with clients, HMRC, financial advisers and other professional contacts.
- Ensuring all trust and estate administration is completed efficiently, accurately and in accordance with current legislation.
To be successful in this Legal Trust Administrator role, you will have previous experience within a Private Client, Trust Administration, Probate, Tax, or Legal environment.
You will have knowledge and experience of:
- Trust, Estate and Income Tax Returns.
- The Trust Registration Service (TRS).
- Trust accounts.
- R185 and IHT100 forms.
- Personal Tax and Trust Taxation.
- Capital Gains Tax (CGT).
- Trust administration and estate administration.
- HMRC compliance and reporting requirements.
