About the role
This role within the School of Fashion and Creative Industries Management will be school based rather than course based. This supports the structure of the school which has a high proportion of shared units and cross-resourcing. The associated person specification for this role sets out the knowledge and skills required for the post, aligned to the Media, Marketing and Advertising course within the school, but the role does not restrict academic teaching and duties to one course.
You will be working as part of a dedicated school team with an open-minded approach to media, marketing, content creation and the wider creative industries, recognising how these disciplines continue to evolve. You will need to be adaptable in your academic practice and committed to student-centred teaching andlearning.
Weare particularly interested in candidates with a collaborative approach to teaching and learning, who are digitally confident and understand connections between subject areas within the school.
AUB works closely with industry partners, and you will be expected to build on collaborations and new links relevant to client projects and guest talks. Such industry links may also provide opportunities for staff and student research, projects, and knowledge exchange.
You will have experience within Media,Marketing and Advertising and be capable of meeting the demands of teaching at degree level. You will need to be able to develop teaching materials, deliver inspiring lectures, seminars, and workshops, and be actively involved in the assessment process.
Postgraduate qualifications areessentialbut we would also consider applications from individuals with equivalent experience who would be willing to obtain the necessary qualifications if appointed.
You will need to be highly motivated, enthusiastic, and well-informed to teach on our courses.
In meeting your performance expectations, you'll receive an annual salary increase in line with the grade of your role. An annual cost of living uplift will be applied, the timing and implementation of which are subject to the University's decision. AUB provides generous holiday entitlement, and you will be enrolled in the Local Government Pension Scheme (professional services staff) or the Teachers' Pension Scheme (academic staff) from day one of employment. Along with subsidised bus travel, cycle to work and annual savings schemes, our broad range of benefits can be explored on the AUB careers website .
AUB has an agile working policy, and flexible working can be considered.
