Description

We are excited to be recruiting enthusiastic and knowledgeable Lecturers in T Level Health / Nursing to join our Young Professionals Academy at Cadbury College on a permanent basis. Due to continued growth within this subject area, we have multiple opportunities available, with both full time and part time options. Potential start dates prior to summer may also be available, subject to onboarding and pre employment checks.

Reporting to the Head of Curriculum, you will deliver high quality teaching and assessment across programmes including T Level Health, Level 3 BTEC Health & Social Care, and healthcare related units within T Level Early Years Education.

This is an excellent opportunity for passionate educators or healthcare professionals looking to inspire and develop the next generation of health and care professionals. You will play a key role in creating engaging and inclusive learning experiences, supporting student achievement and progression, and contributing to the continued growth and innovation of our health curriculum. Working collaboratively within a dedicated team, you will help ensure learners develop the knowledge, skills, and professional behaviours required for successful careers within the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high quality teaching, learning and assessment across T Level Health and related programmes
  • Undertake a teaching load in line with contractual requirements
  • Participate in curriculum development and departmental planning
  • Maintain accurate academic and administrative records
  • Act as a course tutor, supporting learners to achieve their targets and progress successfully
  • Work collaboratively with course teams to ensure high standards of course delivery
  • Develop engaging learning materials using Information Learning Technology (ILT) and multimedia resources
  • Contribute to the development and expansion of the curriculum offer
  • Support students through effective guidance, communication and pastoral support
  • Participate in college events including open evenings, parent evenings and student interviews
  • Engage with external partners, employers and agencies to support the needs of learners
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Degree and/or professional qualification relevant to nursing or healthcare
  • Teaching qualification (Certificate in Education or Level 5 Teaching Qualification) or willingness to work towards
  • Experience working within the nursing or healthcare sector
  • Strong understanding of effective teaching and learning practices
  • Ability to develop engaging learning materials and resources
  • Good organisational and administrative skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate learners from a range of backgrounds
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to use Information Learning Technology to enhance learning
  • Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusive practice
Teaching Qualifications & Salary Banding

Qualified Lecturer salary banding (£31,837 - £48,160) - You must hold one of the following teaching qualifications to qualify:

  • DTTLS (Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
  • Certificate in Education
  • PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
  • ProfGCE (Professional Graduate Certificate in Education)
  • DET (Diploma in Education and Training)
  • DiT (Diploma in Teaching) - if for a vocational subject

Without one of the above qualifications, you will fall into the Unqualified Lecturer salary banding (£26,661 - £29,998).
