We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced equine veterinary surgeon to join Leahurst Equine Practice (LEP), a 5-vet first-opinion, predominantly ambulatory practice working alongside the internationally recognised Leahurst Equine Hospital.
This role represents an exciting opportunity for a practitioner who enjoys delivering high-quality clinical care, teaching future veterinarians and, importantly, is passionate about developing and growing a clinical caseload. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with the drive and enthusiasm to strengthen client relationships, identify opportunities for practice development and contribute to the continued growth of our first-opinion service.
Applicants should be MRCVS registered or eligible for registration by the employment start date and have experience in equine first-opinion practice and demonstrate excellent clinical, communication and organisational skills.
A passion for teaching students and contributing to a collaborative team is essential.
Salary is available at Grade 7 (£39,906 - £46,049) or Grade 8 (£47,389 - £59,966) depending on qualifications and experience, together with out-of-hours payments, a £1,600 annual CPD allowance and a 14.5% employer contribution to a defined benefits USS pension scheme
The post is permanent, and the preferred start date is as soon as possible - Autumn 2026.
