Learning Support Assistant

New Directions Education is currently working with a number of primary schools in the Newport area who are looking to appoint reliable and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join their teams.

About the Role:

You will play an important role in supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom, helping them stay engaged, build confidence, and achieve their learning goals.

Duties may include:

• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery
• Providing additional support to pupils who may need extra guidance
• Supporting children with additional learning or behavioural needs
• Encouraging positive behaviour and classroom participation
• Helping to maintain a welcoming and inclusive learning environment

We're Looking For Candidates Who:

• Have experience working with children, schools or support settings
• Are calm, adaptable and approachable
• Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Hold an Enhanced DBS certificate or are willing to obtain one
• Have a genuine interest in education and child development
