We're working with a welcoming primary school in the BS36 area of Bristol that's searching for a caring and committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant. You'll be supporting a pupil with additional needs, helping them feel confident, included, and ready to learn.
If you enjoy building strong relationships with pupils and seeing those lightbulb learning moments, this could be a brilliant fit.
What your day might look likeNo two days are the same, but you'll be there to provide the steady support a child needs to thrive.
- Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with specific learning needs
- Helping deliver personalised learning strategies in the classroom
- Creating a positive, encouraging space where the pupil can feel safe and supported
- Working closely with teachers and SEND staff to keep learning on track
- Supporting the child's social and emotional development, not just academics
You don't need to tick every box, but the following will help you shine in the role:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with SEND
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Patience, empathy, and a calm approach
- A genuine interest in helping children succeed and grow in confidence
- Education or SEND related qualifications are helpful but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
