Milk Education are seeking a compassionate and reliable Learnng Support Assistant to support a pupil with special educational needs in a primary school setting. The role will provide personalised support to help the child access the curriculum, develop independence and make strong progress academically and socially.
About the SchoolOur partner school is dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all children. They are looking for a patient, proactive and flexible Teaching Assistant who can work closely with staff, parents and the pupil to ensure consistent support and promote positive learning outcomes.
Learning Support Assistant Key Responsibilities- Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with SEN throughout the school day
- Assist with learning activities and ensure access to the curriculum
- Support the pupil's social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to the class teacher and SENCO
- Foster independence and confidence in the pupil within a safe and inclusive environment
- Experience supporting pupils with SEN in a primary school setting
- Understanding of strategies for supporting pupils with additional needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a flexible approach
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Full-time role for the summer term rolling in to September
