A secondary school in Hillingdon is seeking a friendly Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a student with autism who has recently joined the school. The role involves helping the student settle in, access lessons, and manage social and sensory challenges during the school day.
Responsibilities- Provide 1:1 support to the student throughout the day.
- Assist the student in settling in and accessing lessons.
- Manage social and sensory challenges.
- Adapt learning materials in collaboration with teachers.
- Support emotional regulation of the student.
- Solid experience working with secondary aged students with autism.
- Patient, proactive and approachable attitude.
- Availability to start throughout the summer term or from September.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
- Suitable qualifications for the advertised position.
- Temporary position unless stated otherwise.
- Potential remuneration dependent on skills and experience.
